This week you will learn the basic terms of alpine mountaineering.
From the right walking in pathless terrain, rope and safety techniques, climbing techniques in rock and ice. To walk with crampons in the firn and over bones.
It is our goal that you acquire the basic knowledge for independent alpine tours during the week.
Brief description:
Monday: 9 a.m. Meeting point at the Morteratsch train station. Rock formation at the climbing gardens near Morteratsch. Ascent to the Bovalhütte.
Tuesday: Climbing on the Corn da Boval.
Wednesday: Ice training on the Morteratsch Glacier: walking with crampons, dealing with pimples, ice climbing and walking on a rope, anchoring and column rescue
Thursday: Application tour to Piz Morteratsch.
Friday: ice climbing on the Pers Glacier and ascent to the Diavolezza hut
Saturday: Great high-altitude tour of the "white mountain" Piz Palü 3905 m.
Drive home.
