Alpine trekking to "geological reference "Strem"

Today we dedicate ourselves to the geology and history of our region. People lived in our region a long time ago. This is evidenced by the almost extraordinary find in the lower Stremlücke at the top of the Brunnifirn.
Since the high level of the glaciers in the middle of the 19th century, the emitters have been one of the few people who have benefited from the retreating glaciers. The melting glaciers expose new areas where still untouched crevices can be discovered.

It is therefore not surprising that in 2013 it was a spotlight that found two antlers, pieces of wood and many rock crystal fragments in such a fissure melted free from the Brunnifirn below the Untere Stremlücke.
It was unexpected, however, that Stone Age hunter-gatherers had left these objects behind many millennia ago.

We visit this site and see where our ancestors were already on the move when the glacier was deeper and visited the neighboring valleys and traded.
