Tödi - Piz Russein
The Tödi is a very impressive mountain range. You can already see its Firnkuppe from the Mittelland, and so is its peak view. It is the highest mountain in the Glarus Alps, with the highest point at 3614 meters being Piz Russein.
The ascent is long, requires good physical condition and safe conditions. This two-day tour leads us from S. Benedetg over the Furocla Posta Biala. If you still like, climb the Piz Posta Biala. Then a classy descent leads over endless slopes to the Camonda da Punteglias. Early in the morning we climb over the Fuorcla da Punteglias to the Porta Gliems and the Bifertenfirn to the Piz Russein.
With good visibility, you can admire the mountains from Mont Blanc to the Ortler on the summit. Then you can expect a sensational 2600m descent to the Punt Russein. On request we do also start from Glarner side with overnight in Fridolinshut.
