Ringelspitz/ Piz Barghis

The Ringelspitz or Piz Barghis offers a wonderful mountain tour in the UNESCO natural heritage. You experience the world-famous Glarner Thrust up close when you climb it, and you literally cross it. On the first day we climb from Kunkelspass to the Ringelspitzhütte. The following day we head towards Mittelgrat. Secured and easy to climb, it climbs steadily. The last tower to the summit cross is somewhat exposed, but has been greatly defused with steel cables. We choose the descent via the Tschepband and back to the hut. After some refreshment, we descend back to Kunkelspass.

From the Kunkelspass to the Ringelspitzhütte (1998m). The following day over the middle ridge to the Ringelspitz. Descent over the Tschepband and via Ringelspitzhütte back to Kunkelspass.
The middle ridge contains a few climbing spots in the III. Degree.
